LEE COUNTY, Fla. - It doesn't look like convicted "Cash Feenz" killer Ashley Toye will be seeing freedom any time soon.

Her attorney, Stuart Pepper, continues to fight to get the 24 year old out of her life prison sentence but that motion is getting a lot of reaction from people in Southwest Florida.

She is in prison for her role in the 2006 killings of two Cape Coral teens, 18 year old Alex Sosa and 14 year old, Jeffrey Sosa.

Pepper filed a motion asking the 2nd district court of appeals to consider reducing Toye's sentence but the request for a hearing was denied.

The judge ruled only juveniles sentenced after June of this year could be considered for a new hearing.

"There are minor kids involved in atrocious crimes but their participation is at a lower level than the perpetrator and therefore they should be given consideration for that", said Pepper.

Fox Four heard from many Southwest Floridans hoping she stays behind bars.

"The young lady did the crime. She needs to do the time", said Raymond from Fort Myers.

Jody spoke out on our Facebook page and wrote, "Her attorney needs to quit wasting his time and money on her and be more productive to help real people in need of being wrongly convicted."

One caller wanted to remain anonymous but thinks Toye should be let out. "I think that she got pushed into the whole situation by her boyfriend. I don't agree she should sit in jail her entire life", she said.

Another caller agrees. "She got lost in the gang and I think she should be able to get parole. She was just a child."

Pepper says one of Toye's co-defendants is currently petitioning Florida's Supreme Court to consider hearing his case which could affect Toye's case.
