We paid a visit to the Torres home and spoke with the suspect's daughter answered the door.

"I have no idea what happened," she said.

Authorities were convassing this area in Fort Myers for one reason - the amount of tips that have come int to several different agencies about possible animal abuse and violations.

"We were looking fodr failure to license, failure to vaccinate, improper tethering that type of thing," said Brown.

Another dog was found in Torres's backyard in a cage. That dog was not taken from Torres because there was no sign of abuse.
