Motorcyclist killed in North Fort Myers crash
NORTH FORT MYERS - UPDATE: The roadway is clear at this hour. Portions of Tamiami Trail were closed after a deadly accident in North Fort Myers. Florida High Patrol saying three cars were involved in the crash at the intersection of Tamiami Trail and Arrowhead Boulevard.
FHP says a van swerved off the road and into oncoming traffic around 8PM, hitting the motorcycle. The driver was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.
FHP says the van then hit a car immediately behind the motorcycle head on. Drivers of both the van and the car were taken to the hospital. No word on their condition.
