FORT MYERS, Fla. - AAA says 44 million Americans will travel for the Thanksgiving holiday this year and the airports are expected to be packed.
Here in Florida, 2.2 million will be traveling with more than 150,000 flying to their destinations. Wednesday is when most of that activity is happening as it is typically the busiest travel day of the year.
Four In Your Corner's Kelli Stegeman found out that while it was busy at Southwest Florida International, it wasn't the typical picture that comes to mind when you think of congested airports near Thanksgiving.
