Clinton crowds in downtown Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Hundreds in line not far from the Harborside. Some arriving before daybreak and most trying their best to pass the time waiting to hear Clinton speak.
A lucky few got hot coffee in line others were reading or talking on the phone. Yet others wanting to document this day with pictures. One woman playing hookey to be here.
"It's worth it," said the Fort Myers woman.
Others here hoping to give the former President a gift.
"I want to give him a cigar," said one woman.
Many here have never seen Clinton in person and realize they are witnessing American history.
As far as logistics, part of Monroe Street was closed down late yesterday to make way for the crowds coming in to the Harborside.
