Pedestrian Hit by Car in Fort Myers
Police say pedestrian was at fault
FORT MYERS, -- An Estero man is in the hospital after police say he walked into the path of a car in Fort Myers Saturday.
It happened at 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Canal Street. Fort Myers Police say the driver of the car was heading northbound on Cleveland in the right lane when the accident happened.
The pedestrian was thrown over a guardrail and into a canal. The driver stopped to help the driver and called for help. The pedestrian, Adam Vaughn, 23, of Estero, was found to be at fault for the crash. He is currently recovering at Lee Memorial Hospital.
