Biden's trip and what it may cost you
LEE COUNTY, Fla. - VP Joseph Biden making campaign stops in Florida.
He will visit Fort Myers Saturday morning as part of an effort to swing the key state of Florida in Obama's favor.
The VP's visit will mean tight security and an increased police presence. What will that mean for taxpayers?
"I have no idea who is footing the bill," said one campaign worker.
The campaign will be held at the Wake Hatchee Park Recreation Center in Fort Myers.
The facility has been paid for the campaign shelled out 950 dollars to rent space here for the two day plus the cleanup.
"The campaign is paying to rent the facility as the same price as anybody else," said Steve Cox of County Parks and Rec.
Guess again, We checked with the Sheriff's office and you the taxpayers will be paying for a portion of Biden's visit footing the bill for security.
