Collier head-on crash kills 1, injures 2 others
COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol says a 35-year-old Naples man died Sunday afternoon from injuries received in a Saturday night head-on crash.
The collision happened on State Road 29 in Collier County. According to the FHP 30-year-old Tonya Acevedo of Cape Coral was traveling south on State Road 29 in the northbound lanes when her car slammed head on with a car driven by Leyvany Viciendo.
Vicidendo died from his injuries. A passenger in his car, 59-year-old Arcenio Ventura of Naples suffered minor injuries.
Acevedo suffered injuries as well. The FHP is trying to determine is Acevedo had been drinking.
