Rubio to Introduce Romney at Tampa Convention
TAMPA -- Florida Sen. Marco Rubio did not earn a spot on the Republican ticket, but he did land a coveted speaking spot at the Republican National Convention.
Fox News is reporting that Rubio will introduce Mitt Romney on the closing night of the convention, which will be held in Tampa later this month. Rubio had been rumored to be a running mate option for Romney, who ultimately selected Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan.
Another top candidate for vice president, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, is Romney's choice as keynote speaker for the convention.
