Tell Me Something Good
Bonita Springs Christmas light display helps those less fortunate
BONITA SPRINGS - A festive holiday tradition is back in full swing in Bonita Springs. The Flesher family has decked out there five acre property with Christmas lights and even a petting zoo with horses.
“We just finished up yesterday… we've been at it for two and a half months,” said Chuck Flesher. His family has been bringing smiles to families this way from 26 years.
At the family’s property located on Bonita Grande Drive, just west of interstate 75 and Bonita Beach road, there are more than 2 million lights on display, 7,000 feet of electrical wiring and hundreds of extension cords.
Family can come and tour the display of lights for free, but the Flesher family does accept donations, not for themselves, but to give to charity.
This year it's going to 20 year old Alex Rodriguez, who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at 2 years old. Since then he's been confined to a bed or a wheelchair. His wish: to go to Disney World...
The flesher family hoping putting a smile on your family’s face will make Alex's dream come true.
You can see the Flesher Family Christmas Display at 27865 Bonita Grande Drive. It’s open Sundays through Thursday from 6-9pm, on Fridays and Saturdays it’s open from 6pm-10pm until the end of December.
