NAPLES, Fla. -- Collier County deputies have arrested a student that's being accused of calling in a fake threat about an active shooter.

The threat forced Pine Ridge Middle School to go on lockdown on October 5th.

The eleven-year-old, who we aren't identifying because of his age, is charged with felony misuse of the 911 system.  He reportedly called 911 claiming someone on campus had a gun because he was trying to avoid a fight that was planned for later that day.

Deputies say the response to this hoax cost taypayers more than $2,000.
