Patrick Nolan visits Rotary Club of Cape Coral-Gold Coast
CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Fox 4 anchor Patrick Nolan was the featured speaker at the Rotary Club of Cape Coral-Gold Coast at Gulf Coast Village Friday afternoon.
Patrick spoke about his time as a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar in Australia back in 1991.
The visit was a "make-up" session for Patrick.
He forgot to show up at the weekly luncheon months ago when he was first invited.
At the time, club president, Beth Sanger, improvised by putting a picture of Patrick on the podium and asking him questions.
Club members offered tongue-in-cheek responses of what they thought he would answer.
Patrick apologized during Friday's visit saying, "I'm pretty good with deadlines but sometimes I forget where I'm supposed to be."
After the luncheon, Patrick stopped in the rehab facility at Gulf Coast Village to say hello to Phyllis Shelton who's been a longtime member of the Rotary Club of Cape Coral North.
