Tuesday night tip off for FGCU in 1st Round of NIT
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State will play host to Florida Gulf Coast in the first round of the NIT on Tuesday, March 18, at 7:00 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Center. The Seminoles are one of four No. 1 seeds in the 32-team tournament and will face one of the four No. 8 seeds in the Eagles.
The Eagles won the regular season championship of the Atlantic Sun Conference before losing in the finals of their conference tournament to Mercer.
The winner of Tuesday's game between Florida State and Florida Gulf Coast will meet the winner of the Georgetown vs. West Virginia game on date and time to be determined.
Florida State enters the NIT with a 19-13 record and finished in a tie for seventh place in the ACC with a 9-9 record. Florida Gulf Coast enters the NIT with a 22-12 overall record and a 14-4 record in Atlantic Sun play.
