Holiday text message scam
WFTX - A new scam is disguised as a holiday treat. You get a message from a major retailer telling you that you've won a gift card.
But that text could lead you into trouble. The Better Business Bureau says it's one of the top five scams going around right now.
Here's how it works: the message will tell you to visit a website and use a pin number. Then it wants all of your personal information. Check with the retailer first and be prepared to be bombarded with these types of texts, especially around the holidays
So if you're just the unlucky one who got randomly targeted, don't reply to them. If you do, you might get even more messages
