Vehicle recovered in Fort Myers carjacking
FORT MYERS, Fla. - A vehicle at the center of a carjacking last Thursday was recovered Monday morning.
The armed carjacking happened just before 11 p.m. at the Brittany Apartments on Winkler Avenue Ext. The victim told police she had just parked and locked her car when she was approached by three black men wearing black hooded sweatshirts and black pants.
One man grabbed the woman and took her purse while another grabbed her car keys and started her Blue Nissan Altima.
As the men started to drive away one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and threatened to shoot the victim if she ran.
Besides the car the suspects took two of her purses, her credit card and a cell phone.
The car was found in the 2900 block of Palm Beach Boulevard. The three suspects all remain at large. The trio were between the age of 20 to 25, between 5' 5" to 5' 8" tall, with thin builds.
