Cape Coral, FL - Tracking the Tropics

Satellite data indicates that the showers activity associated with low pressure located about 600 miles southeast of Bermuda has increased and has become better organized this morning.

There is potential, a 40% chance, for this low pressure system to become a tropical cyclone later today or Tuesday before upper-level winds become unfavorable for development.

As much of the total precipitable water, or tropical moisture, pools in areas around the Caribbean and the Bay of Campeche for late October, the environment closer to home becomes the more favorable
location for possible development; however, overhead upper-level wind shear will make it difficult for the northern Gulf of Mexico.
