Toddler drowns at Cape Coral home
CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Emergency crews say they tried to do everything possible but in the end couldn't save a toddler who drowned at a Cape Coral home Saturday.
The Cape Coral Fire Department tells FOX 4 that crews got the call at 12:30 Saturday afteroon that an 18-month-old child was drowning in a pool at the home on Northwest 1st Way.
Calls to 911 indicate the child was discovered in the water and CPR was being performed. Multiple units immediately responded and aggressive lifesaving efforts were undertaken by all personnel involved.
The 18-month-old was taken to Cape Coral Hospital where the patient was pronounced dead.
Authorities aren't saying if the child was a boy or girl.
