Tammy Hall begins prison stint
CAPE CORAL, Fla. - 4 in Your Corner has confirmed that Former Lee County Commissioner Tammy Hall surrendered to federal authorities Friday morning to begin a six month prison sentence.
Hall will serve her time at the Coleman Federal Correctional Institution in Sumterville, Florida. After serving her time she will spend 90 days in home detention along with three years of supervised probation.
Hall landed in prison for siphoning off campaign funds to finance her personal life. She pleaded guilty in October 2013 to charges of wire fraud.
She agreed to a plea deal, part of which required her to cooperate with ongoing FBI investigations into government activities in Lee County.
