TV thief hits Estero Target store

ESTERO, Fla. - A thief helped himself to a television set and assaulted an employee at the Target Store at the Coconut Point Mall in Estero last Wednesday and now Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking you to hep find him.

Shortly before 1 p.m. the unknown suspect was caught on camera perusing the Target store.  After selecting a One Direction CD, he wheeled his cart to the electronics section, where he picked out a 40” Westinghouse computer.  

After lingering around the exit area for a few minutes, the man bolted out the door with the stolen items.

A fast acting loss prevention officer caught up with man and identified himself as store security, at which point the suspect grabbed the employee by the arm and face, and slammed him into a nearby wall.  The suspect then ran to a SUV parked close to the store and left at a high rate of speed.

Once the suspect is identified and arrested, he’ll face charges of grand theft, battery and resisting a merchant.
