New pictures have been released of a male who was with the suspect in Tuesday's parking lot mugging.

SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - A suspect has been identified in a parking lot mugging at a South Fort Myers Publix Tuesday afternoon.

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers released a series of photos in an effort to identify the woman accused of robbing an 80-year-old woman in the store's parking lot.

The crime happened just before 4 p.m. when the victim saw a woman who was behind her in line motioning for her to come over to the suspect’s car.

When she approached the car, the suspect grabbed the woman’s purse from her hand.  A struggle followed and the woman fell to the ground and suffered minor injuries.

Witnesses say the suspect then fled at a high rate of speed out of the parking lot, with the victims purse in hand.  Inside the purse was more than $100 cash, a drivers license, keys and several credit cards.

Those cards were used immediately after the robbery, with the unknown female suspect charging up approximately $1,000 in fraudulent purchases at various area businesses.

Fortunately, the suspect was caught on camera using the victim’s credit card, and detectives are hopeful someone will be able to identify her.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect, who is described as roughly 35 years old, with a small frame, driving a four door white compact car, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
