Suspect in Lehigh Acres double murder spotted in South Carolina

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - A man wanted in connection with the murders of his mother and brother was spotted Tuesday in South Carolina.

The bodies of 55-year-old Shelley Tompkins and 22-year-old Daniel Tompkins were found in a home Tuesday night at 1919 Jefferson in Lehigh Acres.

Today it was learned that law enforcement spotted the suspect, 24-year-old Steven David Tompkins, in Orangeburg, South Carolina.  Tompkins was seen in a surveillance video at a Walmart with 19-year-old Joycelin Luck.

Luck disappeared from her home in South Carolina the same day she was spotted with Tompkins.

Tompkins may be armed with a handgun and traveling in a 2004, green, 4-door, Ford F-150 Lariat pick-up truck with a Florida license tag of BFK T59. Tompkins is described as 5’5” tall, medium build with hazel eyes and short brown hair.  He may also have facial hair.
