Sullivan takes stand in Cape election battle
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Former Cape Coral Mayor John Sullivan led off the testimony in his lawsuit in an effort to undo his defeat at the polls last year.
Sullivan believes there was wrong doing in the election that saw Marni Sawicki oust the incumbent from office in November.
Sullivan testified that he wants either a recount or a new election. He spent 47 minutes on the witness stand.
Lee County Supervisor of Elections Sharon Harrington followed Sullivan on the witness stand.
