Sobriety check point nets suspect Fort Myers drug dealer

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers police conducted a sobriety checkpoint Friday night which resulted in a handful of DUI arrests and violations, but also netted a suspected drug dealer.

Police arrested 31-year-old Donte Lopez of Fort Myers.  They found the following items in his possession.

Trafficking in Heroin (54 grams)
Possession of Cocaine (13 grams)
Possession of Marijuana (10 grams)
Possession of Methamphetamine (10 molly pills)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Police ended up arresting a total of 18 people including Lopez.  Eight people were charged with driving under the influence.  Officers also issued 25 traffic citations.
