Road rage arrest in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers police arrested an Alabama man for battery after a fender bender led to an apparent case of road rage.
Police say 35-year-old Brian Edward Deford of Anniston, Alabama was driving his white Hyundai east on Colonial Boulevard when he tried to merge from the left lane into the right lane. When Deford did that his car clipped the right rear tire of a vehicle in front of him.

Deford then got out of his vehicle and began kicking and beating the pickup he had hit with his car. That's when the other driver pulled away and made a U-turn at Colonial Boulevard and Metro Parkway and stopped at the McDonald's there.
Deford followed the victim into the McDonald's parking lot and hit the victim in the face breaking his glasses. He also kicked the hood of the victim's vehicle and tried to pull of its bug reflectors.
