PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - A Punta Gorda man faces charges of battery, criminal mischief and resisting arrest, after an incident involving a printer at a Walmart Tuesday.

Deputies say 24-year-old Jose Daniel Morales and his girlfriend went to the Walmart on Kings Highway on Tuesday to return a HP printer.  The store refused the return because it had been purchased three months ago.

Store employees say when they refused to take the printer back, Morales flew into a rage.  Witnesses say he grabbed the box the printer was in and threw it on the floor.  Morales than picked it up and threw it at the customer service clerk.

He then stormed out of the store, threatening another Walmart employee on his way out and kicking over an anti-thief device.

Deputies later caught up to the girlfriend at her apartment where they found Morales hiding in a closet.  He was arrested after questioning and taken to the Charlotte County Jail.
