New charges against Port Charlotte man charged in vehicle thefts
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Charlotte County detectives have brought additional charges against a Port Charlotte man charged in a serious of vehicle burglaries.
23-year-old Brenton Mitchell Schreer was arrested on Monday after a tip led detectives to him. He was charged at the time for a series of overnight burglaries that happened on March 24th and 25th in the area of Peachland Boulevard and Hinton Street.
Now Schreer faces new charges that ties him to at least four other vehicle burglary cases.
A Port Charlotte man who was arrested Monday now faces more charges after detectives have connected him to at least four other vehicle burglary cases. Those crimes happened on February 6th and 7th in the area of Dorchester Street, Ginger Street and Keeler Avenue in Port Charlotte.
When detectives served a search warrant on Monday they found property that tied Schreer to those burglaries.
