New Florida unemployment numbers not so good for SWFL

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Governor Rick Scott was touting the state's new unemployment figures for January.  The jobless rate fell from 6.2% in December to 6.1% in January.  The numbers are the lowest since June 2008.

The only problem is the trend reversed for Southwest Florida.  After a steady decline in unemployment, the area's largest counties all saw increases in the jobless rate.  Unemployment jumped up .3% in Lee County, .2% in Collier County and .5% in Charlotte County.

The breakdown for Southwest Florida is as follows.
