Mack endorses Clawson
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Former Southwest Florida Connie Mack endorsed Curt Clawson in his bid for Florida's 19th District Congressional seat Tuesday afternoon.
In a prepared release Mack said in part, "My hope for America is that we have members of Congress who understand that freedom is the core of all human progress. Our deficits and debts continue to diminish our Freedoms as Americans and it is time to do something about it."
Clawson has supported Mack's "Penny Plan" which aims to reduce the federal deficit. The endorsement is the biggest to date for the political newcomer from Bonita Springs. Clawson was endorsed two weks ago by Tea Party favorite Byron Donalds.
Clawson is facing State Senator Lizbeth Benaquisto, former State Representative Paige Kreegel and businessman Michael Dreikorn in the upcoming April 22nd primary to replace Trey Radel.
