Lehigh Acres double homicide

LEHIGH ACRES. Fla.- Lee County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a man they believe is involved in a double homicide in Lehigh Acres.

Deputies say a mother and her son were found dead around 7:00 p.m. last night. The murders happened at 1919 Jefferson Avenue in Lehigh Acres. 

Lee County Sheriff's Office is looking for 24 year-old Steven Tompkins. Deputies say Tompkins lived at the house with the victims. Deputies have not released his relationship to the victims. Tompkins has a medium build, hazel eyes and short brown hair.

Deputies warning the public that Tompkins may be armed and traveling in a green 2004 Ford F150 pick up truck. The license plate of that vehicle is BFKT59.
