Lee County Commission approves Gartner deal
FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Lee County Commission approved a $1.48 incentive deal with Gartner Inc. on Tuesday to help the technology company expand its operations in Southwest Florida.
The deal will enable Gartner to build a $20 million office building next to its present South Fort Myers site and add 400 employees by 2019.
The State of Florida is also contributing $3.47 as part of the incentive package.
Once Gartner adds staff the company will employ roughly 1,150 people in Lee County.
