Jim Syoen's Marshmallow Delight

This is a family favorite every year!
 
1 tub of Cool Whip
1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1/2 can of sliced pineapple (cut into chunks)
1 small can of mandarin orange slices
1/4 jar of Maraschino cherries
2 cups of small marshmallows
 
Gently mix everything above together, with the Cool Whip being last. Use a minimum of half tub of Cool Whip and more to taste. Put in an airtight container and refrigerate for 20 minutes. Marshmallows should be very soft when ready and slightly translucent. Should be made day-of for best taste but can be stored for a day.
