ESTERO, Fla. - A traffic stop on I-75 in Estero Thursday led to the arrest of a Naples man after a K9 officer noted the presence of drugs in his rental car.

A Lee County Sheriff's deputy was writing a warning ticket for a traffic violation when he noticed in a records check that 30-year-old Javier Rodriguez had a history of drug arrests.

That led to a K9 search of his vehicle and the discovery of 25 vacuum sealed bags in three duffle bags in the trunk.  The bags were filled with marijuana weighing 27.8 pounds.

Rodriguez was arrested for trafficking marijuana.
