CAPE CORAL, Fla. - The price at the pump is offering a little holiday reprieve in Southwest Florida with the arrival of Christmas.

AAA reports the cost of a gallon of regular unleaded averages $3.36 across Florida, down 3 cents from a week ago.  A few stations around Southwest Florida are offering gas at just under $3.30 a gallon.

So far, retail gas prices have remained stable and are right around the same price they were this time last year. In 2012, the nationwide average was $3.23 for the end of year holiday season. Currently, the national average is one cent more, at $3.24, for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline.
