Fort Myers drug sweep lands 8 behind bars

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers police conducted a drug sweep Thursday targeting suspected dealers resulting in eight arrests.

The six-month investigation sought to round up drug dealer in the north, central and Dunbar districts.  Detectives were reacting to numerous calls about open air drug sales.

Undercover drug purchases were made from 21 suspected drug dealers resulting in 65 felony charges. Many had sold to undercover Detectives multiple times and the majority of sales took place within 1000’ of schools and parks.

13 suspected dealers remain at large.

The following eight suspects arrested thus far:

1. Albert Brooks (d.o.b. 05/08/1968 of Fort Myers)
3 counts sale of cocaine, 3 counts possession of cocaine

2. Beverly Lynom ( d.o.b. 11/19/1961 of Fort Myers)
2 counts sale of cocaine, 2 counts possession of cocaine

3. Tony Curtis Holmes (d.o.b. 12/24/1955 of Fort Myers)
1 count sale of cocaine, 1 count possession of cocaine

4. Brodi Haynes (d.o.b. 11/22/1980 of Fort Myers)
3 counts sale of marijuana 1000’ of a park, 3 counts possession of marijuana

5. Warren Johnson (d.ob. 07/07/1988 of Fort Myers)
1 count sale of cocaine 1000’ of a park, 1 count possession of cocaine

6. Xavier Diggs (d.o.b. 01/26/1988 of Fort Myers)
1 count sale of cocaine, 1 count possession of cocaine

7. Michael Jones (d.o.b. 03/29/1979 of Fort Myers)
1 count sale of cocaine 1000’ of a school, 1 count possession of cocaine

8. Lorenzo Gloster (d.o.b. 02/09/1962 of Fort Myers)
3 counts sale of cocaine 1000’ of a school, 3 counts possession of cocaine
