FWC seizes hundreds of lobster tails
KEY WEST, Fla. - A joint law enforcement effort led to the seizure of hundreds of lobster tails in Key West.
A task force with Key West Police and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office discovered bangs and bags of wrung lobster tails at a Key West home. That's when the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was called in to investigate.
FWC Officer Jose Lopez found that 680 of the 800 lobster tails found in the home were undersized.
The commercial fisherman involved was charged for the illegal haul along with charges of possession of narcotics and drugs.
