GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Florida High School Activities Association issued its findings in the Cypress Lake vs. Mariner high school football game that was stopped by officials when players from Cypress Lake became enraged.

The FHSAA issued letters of suspension to 27 players.  23 are suspended for two games, 2 are suspended for six weeks and two more are suspended for 12 months.

The report goes into detail about the obscenity laced tirades directed at the officiating crew at the game last Friday night.   Officials stopped the game with about three minutes to play.  Mariner won the contest 17 to 16.

The officials defended fired Cypress Lake head coach Dale More in their report to the FHSAA, saying he did everything in his power to stop his players from acting out.  More lost his job after the game and a group of parents and players have come to his defense.
