FHP investigates crash involving Fort Myers police officer
FORT MYERS, Fla. - A two vehicle crash late Friday night involving a Fort Myers police officer left two people with minor injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 16-year-old Robinson Valliere was driving his Dodge Intrepid east on Willard Street approaching Fowler Street.
FMPD office Brock Ferguson was headed south on Fowler in his patrol car. According to the FHP Valliere stopped at the stop sign at Willard but drove into the path of Ferguson's car causing the crash.
Ferguson suffered minor injuries and as did a passenger in Valliere's car.
Valliere was cited for violating the right of way and for driving without insurance.
