Doodle 4 Google competition announced

MOUNTAIN VIEW,  CA - Google has announced the 2014 Doodle 4 Google competition for K-12 students across the nation. 

This years theme is "If I could invent one thing to make the world a better place..." 

Many of the worlds greatest inventions, like da Vinci's flying machines, started as scribblings and drawings. 

Winners of the competition will become an honorary Doodler and have their doodle animated and featured on Google.com as well as a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 technology grant for their school. 

Students can submit doodles until March 20.
