Crist apologizes for backing gay marriage ban
TALLAHASEE - Former Governor Charlie Crist is apologizing for backing an amendment when he was in office.
The former Republican and current Democarat is running for his old job again.
He says he is "Sorry" for supporting the amendment when he was governor.
He is also apologizing for telling CNN three years ago that he believed that marriage is "A sacred institution, between a man and a woman."
Crist now says he was just "Trying to be a good Republican" who "Made a mistake."
