Credit card thieves caught on camera in Lehigh Acres
LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - A man and a woman suspected of stealing credit cards were caught on camera at two Lehigh Acres stores and now Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help in identifying them.
The duo were seen on camera making purchases ranging from fans to fast food with a credit card stolen from an unlocked car sometime around 11:30 p.m. January 14th.
Within 20 minutes of the theft the first purchase was made at Walgreens by a Hispanic female, with subsequent charges made by a Hispanic male for beer and other items.
The duo went from business to business until their final destination of Walmart, where they were spotted trying to purchase children’s clothing. The woman can be seen on camera swiping the stolen card, which by that point was declined as a result of the cardholder realizing she’d been victimized.
Several video clips from both Walmart and Walgreens are attached to this release – including one of the female victim walking out of Walmart empty handed, with the exception of a baby she brought along during her criminal escapade.
Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of these two suspects are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
