SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - A Cape Coral woman was seriously injured in a crash at U.S. 41 and Cypress Trace Drive in South Fort Myers Friday afternoon.

The Florida Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Austin Walker Huff of Lehigh Acres was driving south on U.S. 41 approaching Cypress Trace Drive and failed to notice the light was red.

Huff's Pontiac Firebird hit a Mini Cooper driven by 61-year-old Jacquelyn Susan Lavelle.  Huff's car hit the left side of Lavelle's as she entered the intersection.  She suffered serious injuries.

Huff was cited for running a red light.
