CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Cape Coral police detectives busted a marijuana grow house Wednesday in the northeast part of the city seizing more than 57 pounds of marijuana, $13,000 in cash and making one arrest.

Police responded to 4114 East Gator Circle after LCEC personnel discovered that electrical power was being illegally diverted to the residence.  When officers responded, they could smell the odor of raw marijuana coming from the front of the residence.

Detectives got a search warrant and found 49-year-old Luisa Coromoto Bado of Hialeah inside the home and began their search.

Inside they found a home with a full grow operation.

The investigation revealed that Bado rented this residence for the explicit purpose of cultivating cannabis and was paid by a 3rd party to maintain the crop.  Bado was arrested on multiple charges including marijuana trafficking.
