NORTH NAPLES, Fla. - A Cape Coral man was cited for careless driving by the Florida Highway Patrol for causing a crash on I-75 Wednesday evening that left a Lehigh Acres man in serious condition.

The FHP says 57-year-old Louis Barahona was driving north on I-75 and began to slow as traffic slowed ahead of him.  Investigators say 34-year-old Kurtis Beach failed to notice traffic conditions and hit the rear of Barahona's SUV.

The crash sent Barahona's vehicle into the median at MM 114 causing it to overturn, seriously injuring Barahona's.  Beach's vehicle safely came to rest on the east shoulder.  Troopers cited him for careless driving.
