CAPE CORAL, Fla. - For cab driver Tony Strong, its not just about getting people from point A to point B.

It's about safety, even if they aren't his passengers. It's something he proved Sunday morning.

"I was sitting behind the car and the next thing I know the customer turns to me and says this car just flipped over," Strong said.

A car flipped on its roof after colliding with another car around 9 a.m. at the intersection of Del Prado Boulevard and Pine Island Road.

There was gas leaking from the overturned car, so Strong decided to help.

"If anyone is in danger, that's what I am going to do," Strong said.

There were three people inside the car and Strong and a few other witnesses worked to get them all out of the back windshield before paramedics arrived.

"We got the guys out and then there was one lady that was kind of hurt so we had to be very patient, we didn't want to hurt her anymore than she was hurt," Strong said.

They were able to get everyone out safely. One passenger was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
