FORT MYERS, Fla. - A bright light has gone out for the arts community of Southwest Florida.

Barbara B. Mann was center stage in founding arts organizations and promoting that culture in the area.

She died Sunday at the age of 100.

Her name will live on for generations with her namesake atop of the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall on the campus of Edison State.

GM of the center, Scott Saxon, told FOX 4 their thoughts and prayers are with her family.
