FORT MYERS - Sources have reported to FOX 4 that a Fort Myers Police 911 center dispatcher has been placed on administrative leave as a result of allegedly providing false or misleading information during a traffic stop last February.

According to court documents, 24-year-old Samantha Peterson was stopped by Florida Highway Patrol for speeding and was issued a ticket for going 79 in a 50 mile per hour zone.

She pled guilty and paid the fine on March 1.

An FMPD spokesman told us the department cannot provide us with any additional information while there is an active internal investigation.
