2 shot in Fort Myers drive-by

FORT MYERS, Fla. - A drive-by shooting in Fort Myers early Friday morning sent three people to the hospital.  One of the victims, 21-year-old Cory Jackson of Lehigh Acres, is in critical but stable condition.

Police say the shooting happened around 1:17 a.m. at State Road 82 and Forum Boulevard.  Three men were driving westbound on SR 82 from Lehigh Acres when a gray four-door sedan, possibly a Toyota with dark tinted windows, opened fire on them.

The victim's vehicle was hit multiple times and the trio drove to a hospital while the suspects fled.

20-year-old Javaris Murray of Lehigh Acres was also hit by the gunfire but suffered only minor injuries.  The other man in the car, 20-year-old Brandan Conner of Fort Myers, escaped unharmed.
