Free class on adding a water lily pond to your garden
The 320-member club, Gardeners of Southwest Florida, presents free classes on many gardening topics several times a month. On Saturday morning, August 16, a pond expert will show everyone her easy techniques for adding fish ponds and other aquatic features to enhance their own gardens. The instructor will discuss all aspects of creating lovely water gardens. She'll then lead a guided tour around her ten-acre property to show all the impressive ponds, streams and waterfalls she created herself. All the sessions include free refreshments and a free plant exchange. The location in Naples and full details of this and other free events are on the club's informative web site at http://meetup.com/FloridaGardeners. While on the site, you can instantly join the club for free, then learn of its many future activities. The site's Photos pages include 45 albums with hundreds of pictures of members' gardens and previous classes. Everything in the club comes without charge or obligation: membership, classes, snacks, drinks, and lots of practical gardening advice. Further information is available from Gardeners of Southwest Florida club leaders Peter Kacalanos and Suzanne Cherney at PeterSuzanne2@hotmail.com or (239) 331-2858.
