Introduction to Florida Friendly Gardening at Rotary Park

The Florida Yards & Neighborhoods Program teaches homeowners about “Florida Friendly” gardening. This method is a sustainable way to have a beautiful yard while being kind to the delicate South Florida environment. The Introductory Class covers such topics as “What does it mean to be “Florida Friendly?”, “How can I save money in my own back-yard, and be a more successful gardener? ” and “What’s so special about native plants?” This class also teaches the proper application of fertilizers and pesticides for homeowners.
