Rain Barrel Workshop at Rotary Park

  • Print

Join us at a Florida Yards and Neighborhoods RAIN BARREL WORKSHOP. One inch of rain on a 1000SF roof yields 625 gallons of water! Rain Barrels are a great way to collect some of this water. Not only does this give you free water, but it reduces storm water runoff, a major source of water pollution. Lee County Master Gardeners will teach you how to set up a recycled 55-gallon plastic barrel to collect rainwater from your roof in this workshop. Set-up instructions, maintenance, artistic possibilities and a reference booklet are provided. This workshop will show you how to conserve water, save money and protect water quality. All supplies are provided. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. For registration, call 239-549-4606.
